AGAINST THE SMOG STEP 1

The issue of Air pollution was raised back in 1996 in Mongolia and the State run various projects and programs such as “Smokeless Ulaanbaatar”, Fire stove, Clean air since 2007 to address the problem. However, the smog was not resolved but increased, and the National Security Council of Mongolia accepted that the Air Pollution is at Dangerous level in January of 2017.

WHAT WE’VE DONE and WHERE ARE WE to fight the smog?

Mongolia carried series of projects and programs funded and financed by the Government and International Organizations as well as donor countries, rallied at the main square but NOTHING HAD CHANGED. Indeed number of respiratory tract cases had rapidly increased causing deaths, miscarriages, allergies.

NTN TV initiates AGAINST AIR POLLUTION STEP 1 campaign to make its contribution to solve this crisis to ensure that WE are ALL can enjoy the rights provided under the Constitution of Mongolia.

Objective: Stop “producing smog” through using electric heaters in ger districts

Goal: provide electric heaters to 10,000 poor families out of 204,000 from 129 horoo of UB city
