When the Parliament had ratified the State budget for 2016, it resolved to consolidate General Tax office and General Customs office. The new arrangement was enforced from January 1, 2016. 

The cabinet approved yesterday during its regular session appointment of S.Purev to head the Customs and Tax office, who was previously acting in charge of the new structure.  

Over 250 employees, 100 from the Customs office and 150 employees from Tax office to be laid off was reported. The Office is going to renew its structure with the appointment.
