The UB Audit office officially announced to set the maximum expenditure of the parties and coalitions to spend for 2016 election of the UB city citizens’ representative session at 1,460 million tugrugs. The Office had also approved the expenditure limit for the candidates to run for local elections. In accordance with the Election law the expenditure is set considering number of votes, location of the territories, economic and other factors, inflation rate and others. Therefore, the limits are varying. For example the least amount is at 44^th constituency of Bagakhangai district at MNT106.4 m and the largest is MNT194.4 m for constituency #14 of Bayanzurkh district.

The Election law defined that the local elections shall be organized on the same day with the Parliamentary election on June 29. And the maximum allowed amount for election campaign must be set 90 days prior of the elections.
