The gross output of the industrial sector reached MNT 2466.9 billion in the first 4 months of 2016, which is less by 1.2% or MNT 29.1 billion from year previous.

The total value created by the processing industry reached MNT 494.3 billion, less by 21.9% or MNT 138.3 billion from 2015.

Production index of industrial sector is 122.5 in April of 2015, increasing by 3.7% from March and 3.4% from previous year but less by 5.9% of end of 2015.

Value created by mining, including crude oil, copper concentrate, gold went up by 18.3-90.9% and production of processing sector, including alcohol, spirits, cathode copper, milk, soft drinks, combed cashmere, plastic cards increased by 2.2%.

Production of some mining products including molybdenum concentrate, zinc concentrate, coal, fluorspar, iron concentrate decreased by 2.8-62.3 % as well as production of food sector along with some construction such as concrete products, cement, vacuum windows etc decreased by 1.0-99.2%.

The volume of industrial products sold reached MNT 3052.3 billion in the first 4 months of 2016, 66.4% or MNT 2027.3 billion was exported.
