A media briefing has been organized on the 7th Model ASEM, which is being held on July 6-10 in Ulaanbaatar by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), and the Mongolian Youth Federation (MYF). 

One of the Asia-Europe Summit’s side events, the Model ASEM is a 3-day youth conference and political simulation of the actual Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit. The event is going to be attended by 100 delegates from 54 countries and 50 young leaders from Mongolia. Director of Education Department at ASEF Leonie Nagarajan said, “Over 3900 youths applied for the Model ASEM, and we selected the best 100 delegates”. 

The conference will include discussions on ASEM’s three pillars: political, economical, socio-cultural connectivity of Asia and Europe. The consensus and suggestions that youths reached from the conference will be summarized and submitted for the final document of the 11th Asia-Europe Meeting Summit.

Organizers also remarked that the preparations for the event has been completed, and a program for the event includes activities to promote Mongolian culture, tradition, and modern lifestyle.
