The first session of the newly formed Citizens’ Representatives Office held its first session on July 6, 2016 and proposed the candidacy of S.Batbold for the UB Mayor and Governor position. The proposal was submitted to the Prime Minister for ratification. The Prime Minister issued the resolution on July 6, 2016 and appointed S.Batbold for UB city Mayor and Governor. S.Batbold, new Mayor and Governor of Ulaanbaatar city received today the seal of the UB city from S.Bat-Uul, 31^st Mayor and Governor of the city.

S.Batbold, new Mayor and Governor of the Mongolia capital said “The Public service must continue without any delay. We have series of important events ahead of us such as Naadam, ACEM meeting and much more. I do believe that everyone in the Chancellery shall continue their assigned work. I believe that Mongolian capital shall prosper” reported the Press Office of the UB city Chancellery.

New Mayor and Governor of UB city Sundui Batbold was born in 1968, majored in engineering and law, holds masters degree in technical sciences, Ph.D in Public administration.

He served the state in various positions, including chairman of the Citizens Representatives Office of Tuv province, Member of the Parliament, cabinet member, Minister of Legal and Internal Affairs, Head of the Government Chancellery, deputy chairman of MPP caucus. Mr S.Batbold is a member of MPP.
