At 1300 today (July 16, 2016) President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj. President of EU Council Donald Tusk, EU Chief Jean-Claude Juncker, President of Republic of Union of Myanmar Htin Kyaw, Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico held a joint press conference today on the ASEM 11, high level meeting organized in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

EU Chief Jean-Claude Juncker on his third visit to UB praised Mongolia to play at the global level. He is the single person attended 10 ASEM meetings since 1996.

President Ts.Elbegdorj as a representative of an organizing country of ASEM extended gratitude to all the media outlets which provided timely update to the world. President Ts.Elbegdorj highlighted that over 100 official meeting were held within ASEM scope and said that he is delighted with the report of people’s, Business, Parliament and Youth  meeting held prior. Mongolia joined ASEM in 2008. Two year ago Mongolia was granted to organize the ASEM and for last two years the whole country worked hard to successfully organize the meeting.

The joint press conference was held in Shangri-La Ulaanbaatar and went live worldwide. Five high level officials expressed that the meeting was a success and they noted that Mongolia which they know has a vast country with few population had exposed to the world its power.

The next ASEM 12 shall be held in Brussels, Belgium in 2018.
