During the plenary session on Thursday, the Parliament had discussed the first draft of the Parliament resolution on state ownership in Gatsuurt deposit and resolved with the majority of votes to have the final discussion.

The Standing committee on Economy shall hold the final discussion of the draft resolution to present to the plenary session.

If the project shall be approved, 34% to be owned by the state will be paid off in royalties. Centerra Gold Mongolia, the project developer shall create about 1000 jobs and is expected to pay US$433,6 m in taxes and fees.
