The Chancellery of the Parliament provided an update on visit of Canadian legal and judicial delegation to Mongolia. MP, Head of the Standing committee D.Ganbat, MP D.Lundeejantsan welcomed Serge Lortie, Ministry of Legal Affairs of Canada and Oleg Sheikov, director of Court administration committee today at the State Palace.

The MPs welcomed the Canadian delegation and introduced the legal reformations in Mongolia.

Mr Lortie expressed his gratitude for the welcoming and clarified that Canada is more than appreciates to provide support to Mongolia in legal and court field.

MP D.Lundeejantsan said that the Parliament of Mongolia ratified the Criminal law and Law on Violations in 2015. The Standing committee on Law is discussing the draft laws on Police, Domestic violence and any advice on the draft laws will be appreciated.

MP D.Ganbat highlighted that Canada had greatly contributed in the legal reforms of Mongolia and said that there are more opportunities to train Mongolian specialists in Canada as well as learn the experience of Canada on enforcement of similar laws.
