The XV session of Mongolian-Russian joint commission to enforce the bilateral agreement between Governments of Mongolia and Russia on prevention and relief of industrial accidents and natural disasters successfully concluded and parties signed the protocol.

During the joint session parties discussed border crossing disasters, including actions to be taken to prevent from and combat forest and steppe fires.

The preventive measures includes activities of both sides to prevent fires to cross the borders and in case of such allow firefighters to have an easy access to border crossing and fully cooperate to combat fires.

Parties had also agreed to exchange information on fires without delay, to organize joint exercises, to provide technical support. Russia also raised possibility to train emergency staff of Mongolia in Russia.
