Entities and individuals are provided with an opportunity to voluntarily file their hidden income, property and activities by the Law on encouraging economic transparency ratified in August of 2015.

The law justifies entities and individuals submitted their possessions between August 7 and December 31 shall be released from responsibilities and taxes supposed to be imposed.

As the Parliament deemed that period given was too short, the term was extended until February 20, 2016.

By January 21, 2016, 28501 reports were filed by individuals and entities with tax authorities reporting income and property worth MNT14092,8 billion and were exempted from MNT 3865,3 billion tax. Along with that 1016 individuals and entities were registered for the first time, and 1041 taxpayers registered for various tax registration totaling of 2057 taxpayers added to the tax list.
