Under the auspices of ASEM's Venue and Accommodation Working Group, the ASEM Office of Mongolia is recruiting volunteers, 1,100 as of today. 

The Working Group issued an order to contact the universities directly, and recruit students recommended by the faculty.

Other requirements include interest in volunteering for the ASEM Summit, sufficient knowledge of a foreign language, physical fitness, self-discipline, high ethical moral and most importantly, a sincere desire and urge to work for this international event.

The registered students will undergo special training in four different disciplines, and they would be given special ID badges and uniforms.

Although the volunteer work has no monetary remuneration, each volunteer has been promised their own reference letter which would summarize their performance. Officials said this could assist the volunteer students in their career prospects, according to their line of work. Furthermore, coordinating with the school administration to have the volunteer work recorded as practicum is an open possibility, said Tsagaan P,  Chief of Staff of the Office of the President, at a meeting with university officials.

A total of ten major events are going to be held within the framework of ASEM11 between April - July of 2016, and more than 4,000 guests and some 800 to 1000 journalists are expected to arrive for these events. 

Tsagaan, Chief of Staff of the Office of the President, speaking at the event said, "ASEM is a prestigious international organization uniting in its rank 30 European and 21 Asian countries, and two international organizations. ASEM accounts for 60 percent of the world's population and 58 percent of the global economy. The ASEM dialogue addresses political, economic and cultural issues. This summer coincides both the 11th Summit and the 20th anniversary of ASEM. The ASEM summit is held once every two years. If it is held once in each of its members countries, then one member country would host the summit once in hundred years."
