The Civil Movement party is actively coming into the elections of 2016. The party is very unique as it has many well-known members of the civil society.

While the election campaigns getting more aggressive, the party held its Congress during of which the party chapter was revised and ratified as activities are expanding in scope. Members also had exchanged their ideas on concluding accountability agreements with the candidates who run for Parliament and local government elections.

The most important issue of the agenda was to elect the party leader. N.Batsaikhan, former leader of the party recalled his name at his own will since which D.Sukhjargalmaa, the general secretary was acting on behalf. The civil society organizations proposed candidacy of A.Munkhbat, president of the Mongolian Youth Federation and with majority of votes A.Munkhbat became the leader of the Civil Movement party, who will continue to serve the Mongolian Youth Federation.

In accordance with the chapter of the party, the new leader shall be validated after the elections or July 1, 2016, which means that A.Munkhbat shall launch his political activities after the elections.
