The Opportunity

We are looking for a Project Planner to maintain schedules and keep project resources on track, provide regular project updates to project team, and maintain contact with staff to monitor job progress. Project scope mainly includes underground development and shaft sinking activities.

What the role entails

This role is a great opportunity to develop and implement a world class underground mining project in a remote location. Working a 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off, Fly in Fly out roster and reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will be:

Provide planning administration including scheduling, budgeting, performance monitoring, analysis, reporting, expediting, personnel planning, and other duties as assigned.

Progressing the schedule of the project plan as appropriate.

Mitigating of change of project plans by performing risk assessments.

Building, reviewing and executing critical path analyses.

Providing assistance to project& resource managers in identifying effects of task/project changes & providing recommended alternatives and solutions.

Coordinating mine development and modification schedules, resource allocation, funding tracking, performance monitoring and project updates.

What you will need for this role

To succeed in this role, you will have:

Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil or Mining etc.).

High competency in Primavera Planning software.

High competency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.

Significant experience in large scale projects.

It will also be beneficial if you have:

International project experience in construction and underground mining desirable.

Experience in international mining or shaft sinking project experience desirable.
