The Gobi citizens are going to organize the Camel festival on March 6-7 to commemorate their pride – gobi ship or camels in Dalanzadgad, Umnugobi. This year the festival shall expand its scope becoming winter festival “Mongolian camel 999”. The most significant event would be the races of 1000 Bactrian camel and organizers aim to register camel races in Guinness record book. The Camel festival is organized by the Tumen temee (Thousand camels) camel travel union. One of the events of the festival is the trip which shall introduce Mongolian culture and customs to the youth. Participants of the trip shall travel over 1000 km en route Ulaanbaatar-Mandalgovi-Dalanzadgad. The tour will feature historical sightseeing of the places which travelers will pass through.

Beside the trip, public can enjoy with 2 year old camel races, visit Camel museum, visit local community fair- exhibition to buy handcrafts and seep a glass of camel milk and enjoy taste of diary products.
